Slick and Willie were once owned by a loving family, and judging by their names, a family with quite a sense of humor. These two tiny, friendly boys were dumped at a local kill shelter once they got a little older and started having health issues.
Luckily, one of our wonderful foster homes was able to take them in together and nurse them back to health. They both had horrible teeth, and their coats were dull and thinning. Now they are eating a good diet and have had most of their health issues addressed. They are very lively for their age and really love their lap time. Willie is about halfway through heartworm treatment and will be ready to go in November 2009.

UPDATE
Yee-haw!! I have completed that nasty heartworm treatment and even lost a bit of that excess weight. My skins issues have cleared up and my foster Mom says I have the softest fur she has ever felt. She just can’t keep her hands off me! While my paperwork says I am 12, my foster parents say I must be much younger. I am active and curious and like to check things out with my nose…sniff, sniff.
I do well meeting new people and get along with other dogs, but prefer to hang out with my partner Slick. We love to play together and snuggle…constantly using each other as a pillow! My foster Mom says I am a Lap Magnet – not sure what that means, but I don’t care as long as I can lay in your lap! Do you have a lap for me?
