All Cowboy wants for Christmas is to lose a few pounds and get a new home! Cowboy would do best in a home without small children, but with plenty of cuddly lap room to sleep on. Won't you consider giving Cowboy a second chance for a family? He is sure to win your heart!

UPDATE

I'm a fantastic little dog, inside and out!  I'm working on shedding some extra weight so that I'll look my very best when I meet you.  I really like to go for walks and get some exercise on a nice day.  I've even met some cats on my strolls and they don't interest me at all.  Sometimes, carrying that weight can be a bit  tiring, so I'd appreciate a restful nap when we return home!

The other dogs in my foster home are a lot of fun.  Being in my middle age years, I'm not really one for a lot of spunky play.  But, the company is surely welcome and I enjoy being part of a pack.  I do try to join in on the squirrel chasing game, but sometimes I find its just as much fun to sit back and watch.  I'm not much of a barker, unless one of my friends starts to sing.  Then, I'll join in on the chorus just to be sure I'm part of the group.

Lap time is the best part of the day.  I really want to be as close to my person as I can get.  Sitting beside you can be fun, but why waste that empty space when there's a great guy like me to fill it?  I love affection so much that I'll be sure to let you know when I'm in need of some reassurance and TLC.  It may take me a little while to trust and bond, but once I do - that bond is strong and becomes the focus of my existence.

I like to sleep in the big bed at night or a comfy doggie bed beside you on the floor.  My house manners are good and I will let you know when its time for me to go outside to take care of my business.  I've even learned how to let myself out through the dog door when I'm not able to wait for help opening that big door the people use.

I'm hoping for a home that will continue to help me with my diet and give me plenty of love and cuddles.  I really need someone willing to shower me with love and attention.  A forever home like that would surely be my dream come true!
