Every dog that comes into rescue has a "story" but this one is quite unusual. Nellie was adopted out and then was returned only because although she had been perfectly housetrained she had suddenly stopped going outside to do her "business." Well, come to find out, Nellie had been allowed to almost double her weight from being overfed, and Nellie could no longer fit through the tiny dog door. It wasn't that she had become "un-housetrained" she simply could no longer fit through the opening to get outside to do her business.

Nellie is now on her way to being her usual trim self and able to fit through any dog door. Although she may be eligible for senior discounts, she still has plenty of life ahead of her; especially now that she is becoming slim and trim again.
