This gentleman is still looking for a forever home. He is laid back, gentle and ready to love. Romeo spent an unknown time on his own wandering the streets of Austin and during his adventure his teeth became infected. As a result, Romeo had extensive mouth surgery to remove the infected teeth. Now he is healthy, but restricted to soft foods.

Romeo is quiet, doesn't run off, rarely plays ball, is easy going with other pets, is house trained, and respectful of his foster parents' belongings. Although he is showing some signs of deafness and arthritis, he is still moderately active, enjoys being outside and/or in your lap.

Please consider accepting this "Ol' Man" into your home and heart for he still has a lot of love to offer.

Romeo is the perfect name for this older fellow. He is very loving and one of his biggest goals is to please his foster dad. Romeo was turned over to the CTDR from another animal shelter in Austin. Prior to his rescue he was living on his own, lonely and unloved. As a result of his "bachelor" days on the streets, he did not receive proper dental care and now he is limited to a soft food diet and daily mouth rinses. He has had three seizures in the past year, with no lasting ill effects.

Romeo is all gentleman. He doesn't bark, chew, fetch or jump. He does well on a leash and enjoys slow walks through the neighborhood. He enjoys sitting outside in the sun, and comes when called. He sleeps in bed with his foster parents, but will sleep on his own puppy bed. He also enjoys sailing with his foster parents on Lake Travis, and rides well in the car. Romeo doesn't pay much attention to other dogs, but does get along with them.

Romeo is an easy going old man, and is looking for a family who will love him during his "Golden Years."
