My foster mom wanted to name me Bailey, but when she found out how sweet I am, she added the Rose. I may have a white face and a double digit age, but don't let that fool you for one second! I am as energetic and peppy as a dog half my age!

Within an hour of coming to my new foster home, I had learned how to use the doggie door, took a bath and had my nails trimmed. I met all my foster brothers and sisters, and we hit it off great! I even let them share from my food dish at dinner. I had a lot of fun playing and chasing the squirrels in the back yard with them. After that, we all took a nap in the afternoon sun together. I even met the cats and thought they were very nice. Since coming here, my tail has not stopped wagging and I'm so relieved for a second chance!

My teeth havent' been well cared for and I need to have them cleaned. That appointment is coming soon and I can't wait to show off my new smile! I don't have any health issues and I'm in great physical shape. Maybe you have been searching for an older dog with a great personality, pep and love to spare? Well, I'm right here and the perfect choice for you! Dogs like me don't come around very often, so try to catch me - if you can!

UPDATE

I'm a Weiner! At least that is what everyone is telling me! I got to be a part of the Triple Crown PetFest & Expo today and run in the Dachshund Dash! I gave it my all and came in a hair shy of first place! The first place winner was a two-time Buda Weiner Race winner. I gave it my all and it was quite the competition! I now have a trophy to show off and one proud foster mom! It was great fun to participate in the day and compete in the race! One of our volunteers even called me a "tail kicking superstar!"

Who says older dogs are slow? I am living proof that a senior dog can be every bit as playful, physically fit and spunky as any of those younger ones out there. When I find my forever home, I can now not only bring my great spunk and personality... but I also can bring my trophy too! I'm so excited to share this with a family I can call my own! If you are looking for a great dog that knows her manners, is loving and kind - and has a lot of "pep in her step" - I'm the perfect girl for you!
