I was found in the local Wal-Mart parking lot on a nice spring day. As much as we all know they have great stuff to buy, I wasn't there to do my shopping. I was having trouble walking and it appeared that I was injured, so someone decided to leave me there to fend for myself. I guess they could have chosen a worse place to leave me, but it felt pretty horrible to me none the less.

Turns out that my hurting only needed some good old fashioned rest and tlc. I'm doing much better now and hope to find a family that would never leave me shopping for a home on my own again. I'd prefer to wait at home, safe and sound, and hope you have something in the bag just for me!

UPDATE

Playful and spunky, those are the words that describe me best! I'm a young boy with lots of energy and love to share. I'm quickly learning all the lessons every dog should learn. My foster dad tells me I am very smart! I'll need some help learning my manners and I'm not really used to using a kennel. But, I'm working hard to learn and have come to enjoy a quiet snooze in my very own space.

I'm generally a quiet fellow and would do well in an apartment where you need a dog that doesn't make too much fuss over noises or movements. I choose to keep my concentration on more important things, like playing with you! I do well on the leash and love to go outside for some fresh air. I know that the door opening means its time to go outside, so I would appreciate someone who helps me learn when its time for me to join in on the fun. Being young and peppy, I do get very excited when its time for a meal or a treat. Just to be sure you know how happy I am that you are caring for me, I will jump for joy when the food dish shows up! I'd love to keep you company as you run your errands and willingly jump right into the car when you open the door. I've recently been neutered and received all my shots. I will need to have these nasty heartworms treated. After that, I will be ready to find my next adventure in life and explore my future! My social calendar will be opening soon and I would love to meet you!

UPDATE

James should be named Tigger! He's very energetic, and he jumps into the air when he's excited about something (like food, or going outside). He's been doing pretty well on the leash. He does well with strangers outside the house. He's confident and polite. He also does very well with strange dogs, even those that are "overly playful" or much larger than he is.
