January Update

Judy is an unbelievably playful nine-year-old. She has progressed from the somewhat grouchy, "people only" kind of dog that she was. She now will actually cuddle with other dogs, and even play with the puppy in my house. She's afraid of thunder and fireworks, so she needs some extra attention when those are present. She loves, loves, loves to go for walks.

October Update

Judy is a great girl, very loving and surprisingly active for an eight-year-old! She loves to go for walks. She does bark at unknown dogs, but she adjusts to dogs in her own home. She's very affectionate with people, but cats are a definite NO.

When Judy's foster mom first got her, Judy accepted her foster mom's dogs but didn't care to interact with them. Now she allows Lucky to snuggle with her.

She's a wonderful house pet, just doesn't get into anything she's not supposed to. Her foser mom suspects that having a doggie door is crucial to that, however.

Judy will be a wonderful addition to someone's family!

June

Hi Everyone! It is me, Judy! Once again I find myself in Rescue with the wonderful people here at CTDR. I was adopted by a wonderful family in 2008 and due to unforeseen health issues had to be returned.

Judy is a very sweet little girl who LOVES to be by her people. She had a wonderful home until her retired parents started experiencing health issues that made them feel they couldn't care for her the way she deserves. She was sad and bewildered to have to leave her home, but she very quickly adapted to loving new people. She'll settle for lying at your feet, but she much prefers to be on you or beside you. She loves walks, and she loves to play. She's surprisingly energetic! She was much loved in her previous home - a little overly loved in the food department. She's working on reducing her weight and is already making progress. She's very well house-trained and knows how to use a doggie door and pet steps for the bed.

She gets along well with other dogs, although she expects a certain amount of respect from them! She doesn't seem to like cats, although there are none in her foster home to test for certain. She gets along well with children, although we don't know about very small children.
