UPDATE: Grandma is doing PHENOMENALLY! She is really starting to flourish! Her wounds are almost healed and she’s gaining weight, She no longer has the uti and today she even found her bark! My doctors are blown away about the recovery she has made and the obstacles she has over come, there is a good chance she may not need to be on keppra life long. Her eyes are even improving! The only real medical need she has is that she needs to have is a dental to have the rest of her teeth removed. I am starting to think that this girl is not going any where any time soon! Although she’s a senior girl she is thriving and has a lot of life left to live! Although myself and our whole staff has fallen completely in love with sweet grandma we all agree that she does not need to be a hospice foster but may in fact be able to find herself a furever home! .
"Grandma" is a new arrival to CTDR. She had been seen around the Central Texas area for the past week walking in circles and no one stopped to help her until she was found on the side of the road having a seizure. She was taken to the local shelter and CTDR was contacted and there was no way we were going to let this petite senior lady spend the night on the floor of the shelter in her condition. She is resting comfortably tonight at a Specialty Hospital with her condition being monitored. Please check back on our website for further updates on this little girl.
