UPDATE: Hansel is a very sweet dog. He gets along very well with our other small dogs, and did really well when we visited another home with larger dogs. He loves going for walks, and tends to mirror the energy of the dogs we meet - meaning if the other dog is calm and curious, so is he, but if the other dog is pulling and barking, he does the same. He crates exceptionally well at night, and likes to hang out in a bed nearby when we are working during the day. He really only barks when the other dogs do, and even then he doesn't always join them. He is food motivated, but hasn't shown food aggression. And he has been very calm and cooperative for baths and getting his eye medication applied.

Meet Mr. Hansel.  This sweet boy was turned in as a stray to local shelter and CTDR worked to get him out right away.  Four years ago, Hansel was in this same shelter with a beautiful red coat, but when he showed up this time, his is missing the hair over 75% of his body.  The vet said it was the worse case she had seen and that he had "elephant skin".  He is fully vetted but has a long road of recovery to have his hair grow back.  This sweet boy is so deserving of a forever home, could that home be yours?  If so, please complete an application at ctdr.org.
