Mojo has come out of his shell so much since Bitsy has become his "emotional support dog". Instead of running scared, he comes running up to say hello and get love and pets. He loves, loves, to go for walks and play with Bitsy. He will follow me from room to room just to be near and see what is going on (I think I'm his "emotional support person"). He goes into his crate to sleep all night, uses the doggie door to do all his business outside. He loves to stand guard over the backyard and go inspect whenever someone walks by - but he doesn't bark - just runs along the fence. He does so much better meeting new people. He still shies away when someone approaches him (even me) - but is happy if you let him come to you - which he will especially do if you have treats. In an ideal world, he would be adopted with Bitsy - but I do think he would attach to another "non-alpha" easy going dog. He would do best in a home without children as I think they would scare him running around (and towards him). He has improved so much in his confidence since Bitsy has come, that I do think another dog in the home, that he could learn from, and be friends with would be ideal.
Mojo is the newest arrival to CTDR coming from a shelter in South Texas. Mojo is fully vetted and is ready to find his forever home. Mojo is a timid little guy and he will need time to warm up to his humans. Mojo will act a little nervous, and will cower but then as he gets to know you, his whole temperament will change. If you would like to add Mojo to your family, please complete an application at www.ctdr.org.
