Peanut is almost five and a half years old, well past the puppy phase but still with lots of enthusiasm and energy to play with a new family. He loves to chase toys indoors and outside and wants to play tug-of-war when he brings them back. He’s a loving snuggler and a burrower and wants to be right with you as soon as you sit down. He likes to be the center of attention, and will gently paw your arm or leg if you forget to keep petting him. Peanut is crate trained for daytime and night and very well house trained; he’s accustomed to a regular and consistent schedule for going out. He has not been spoiled with people food or table scraps. Peanut is sociable with other friendly dogs and curious about everything - on walks, he wants to stop and sniff at every tenth blade of grass. He is very afraid of big, rumbly UPS trucks and school buses and big vehicles that thump over speed bumps, and he’s not crazy about things with wheels, like bicycles and strollers. Peanut has spent time with children as young as seven, but not toddlers or preschoolers. He is current on all vaccinations (due for his annual check-up in July) and will be neutered on May 28. Peanut is generally comfortable at the vet and submits easily to check-ups and procedures like nail trims. He has no allergies and has not had adverse reactions to shots. He had a full-sedation teeth cleaning in October, 2014.
