Hi, I'm Patches.  I have only been with my foster mom a short time but she seems to think I won't be available very long.  She quickly found out how very friendly I am and it doesn't hurt that I am super cute and sweet.  She keeps telling me how good I am and how incredibly smart I am.  I understand when she tells me to go lay down or come here, those are pretty simple. I enjoy a good car ride too. I also know that going potty is for the outside area and not inside.  I just go to the door when I need to be taken out and off we go.  I am great on a leash too. I will occasionally stop to make sure my foster mom is keeping up but since she's got the leash, I know she's there.  Just a little game I play with her. Since being with her, she has allowed me to give her lots of kisses and spend lot of couch time together.  We took a nap and hung out under the blanket.  At night, I am fine with sleeping on the doggie bed next to her big bed but I do like being in the big bed with her too.  Either way, as long as I am comfortable and not to far from my person, I will sleep through the night. She's got another furry animal but it's not like me.  I don't mind her even though she doesn't seem all too happy with me being around.  I have encountered other dogs on our walks but they don't bother me either. I have some mild separation anxieties but not too bad.  I don't bark much (unlike other doxies). I haven't yet had to bark while I have been in my foster home. I would love to show you how smart, friendly, and loving I am.  Don't you want to give me my furever home?? You will not be disappointed.  Ask about me today.
