Alamo is a charming adult dachshund who recently came to CTDR after his previous family could no longer keep him. He’s a compact guy who knows what he likes and is looking for a home that fits him well.
In his former home, young children frequently got very close to his face, and Alamo reacted by nipping. Because of this, Alamo will do best in a home without very young children, where his boundaries can be respected.
He has classic doxie traits, including being a bit stubborn when it comes to going outside in the rain or cold. He is house trained but is not crate trained.
Alamo should be fed separately, as he can be food protective, and he truly prefers being the only dog in the home. He enjoys having his people all to himself.
His favorite activities are going for walks and playing with his toys. Alamo is up to date on all vetting and is ready to find his forever home. If you’re interested in Alamo, please complete an adoption application at www.ctdr.org.
